Cremation
Cremation Services
We offer affordable services that help celebrate the life of your loved one, while giving you several options for a public gathering, and a final resting place. We believe strongly in helping families choose the right service options to memorialize their loved one.
At O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips we understand that some families who choose cremation may have questions or doubts about the processes of our Harnett Crematory. We strive to instill confidence in each family and provide peace of mind with a guarantee that their loved one never leaves our care. We can provide whatever type of funeral or memorial service our families desire. Our services are included from the minute we take your loved one into our care.
Our professional staff will work through all of the details to create a personalized tribute as unique as the life being celebrated. Whether you choose earth burial or cremation as your final disposition, you can depend on us to carry out all of your final wishes.
Cremation & Traditional Funeral
Many families find meaning and beauty in a traditional funeral service. With a traditional service combined with cremation, you can still choose to have a visitation and/or funeral service with your loved one in a casket. However, instead of in-ground burial, the funeral will be followed by cremation. Depending on your wishes, the cremated remains may be either returned to your family, scattered, buried or placed in a columbarium.
Memorial Service
The memorial service or celebration of life can be held in our chapel, a church, or any other venue your family chooses. We will work with your family and clergy to design a service that honors your loved one, truly celebrating his/her life. Our funeral home chapels have a piano available, as well as cameras for webcasting the service.
Graveside Service
A graveside service is held at the cemetery. We have a tent, chairs, artificial grass, speaker podium, bottled water, tables and a PA system (microphone and speaker) available. When the memorial service is at the funeral home chapel or a church, we will typically go in procession to the cemetery, where a committal service is held.
Permanent Memorialization
Keeping An Urn At Home
This is a common choice and families can select the perfect urn for their loved one. A more permanent resting place may be selected later.
Keeping An Urn At Home
Similar to a casket, the in-ground burial of the urn allows for a final, permanent resting place. We offer several urns suitable for burial directly in the ground, but we also have urn vaults available.
