William Smith Obituary

William Earl Smith, 79, of Duncan, passed away on Monday, June 15th.

Earl was born to the late Clyde Smith and Minnie Hester; predeceased by stepfather James R. Hester; brother Jack; and stepsister, Thelma Baker.

Earl is survived by 3 sons, Michael Smith (Navy) of Smithfield, Marty Smith (Teresa) of Fuquay-Varina, and Samuel Smith of Willow Spring; half-sister, Linda Theys; half-brother Roscoe Hester; 2 grandsons; 3 great-grandchildren.

Earl was a simple, hardworking man and loved to build, having built many Perdue chicken houses, as well as, numerous construction jobs.

A graveside service will be conducted at Westview Cemetery (2264 US 421 N., Lillington, NC) on Thursday, June 18th at 11:00 AM.
