William Herbert Christian, Jr.

William “Junior” Herbert Christian, Jr., 81, of Lillington, passed away, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at his home in Lillington, NC. 

Junior was born May 11, 1943 in Harnett County to the late William Herbert Christian, Sr. and Nora Tutor Christian.  He worked as a licensed electrician and delivered newspapers in Sanford and Lillington for many years.    

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Christian; brother, Preston Christian; and sister, HonorRea Lett.    

William is survived by his wife, Ila L. Christian; daughters, Gail Green and husband, Darrell, and Amy Christian; sister, Debbie Hutchens and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Ricky, Shannon, Casey, Preston, Cody, and Christian; and great grandchildren, Abby, Joe, April, Mason, Nora, and Logan and several special nieces and nephews.       

A graveside service will be held 11am Friday, April 4, 2025 at Cool Springs Church Cemetery, 2741 Cool Springs Road, Broadway, NC 27505, with Rev. Connie Arnold officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
