William Earl Brady

William “Earl” Brady Sr. , son of the late Shafter and Mary Brady was born March 13, 1932 in Durham, NC.  He was received into heaven, December 18, 2022.

Earl was employed at Liggett & Myers and General Telephone Company of the Southeast was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Blackridge, Va.  The past 20 years were spent in retirement at Lake Gaston.

In 1954, he married Elizabeth Patterson and together they had three boys, William Earl Brady, Jr. (Joanie), Barry Brady (Jackie) and Randall Brady.  He enjoyed all four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren especially their visits to the lake.

Claiborne Brady, Doris Crabtree and Martha Brady preceded Earl in death.

Funeral will be held Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at O’Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington, NC at 1:00 PM with visitation after the service.  A private burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park.

Mr. Brady's family requests no flowers be sent, in lieu of  flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Mountain Top Youth Camp at PO Box 130, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313.
