William A. Johnson

Mr. William A. Johnson, 62, of Chalybeate Springs, NC passed away on December 15, 2022. He grew up in Christian Light, enjoying adventures with his brother, sisters, and cousins.

In 1981, he married the love of his life (his angel) Sherry Arnold Johnson, and they spent 41 years together. She faithfully stood by him in sickness and health until the end. Together, they had two beautiful children, Renee (husband-Derrick) and Brandon (wife-Melyn) and three joyful grandkids: Aubrie (5), Liam (2) and Thatcher (1).

For 30 years, William made a living in forestry. He enjoyed his work and the people he met along the way.

We invite you to celebrate his life with us at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Baptist Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina with Pastor Paul Jones officiating. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary Tuesday from 1:00-1:45 PM and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina.
