Wayne Blanchard Obituary

Mr. Wayne Allen Blanchard, 89, of Fuquay-Varina passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Brantley and Lessie Hillard Blanchard. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McGee Blanchard; 2 brothers, Charles and Rudolph Blanchard; 3 sisters, Emily Adams, Cora Lee Tysinger, and Charlotte Jean Blanchard.

Wayne is survived by his son, Richard Blanchard and wife Cathy of Fuquay-Varina; 2 daughters, Vicky Atwood of Rock Hill, SC and Teena Searcy and husband Craig of Fuquay-Varina; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister, Dorothy Page of Lillington.

A private graveside service will be held at Christian Light Christian Church Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the hospice organization of your choice.
