Tony Lynn Yunker

Tony Lynn Yunker, 69, of Lillington, NC passed away December 31, 2025 at his home.  He was born November 8, 1956 in Minnesota to the late Betty Holder Yunker and Russell Yunker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Connie Yunker and brother, Gary Yunker.

He is survived by his brother, David Yunker (Ellen); sister-in-law and caregiver, Judy Yunker; nieces, Christy Patten (Kenny), Lisa McKoy (Anthony), Amy Honeycutt (Tim), Melissa James, Michelle Yunker; several great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a new great-great little one on the way (which he was excited to meet).

Tony was a proud veteran and plumber by trade.  He loved helping people and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He had a heart of gold (like his Daddy) and enjoyed going to yard sales with his mom.  Tony loved his family and looked forward to family time. After Sunday lunch together, you could find him in front of his TV watching NASCAR – he never missed a race.  Tony was well-loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC.  A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:15 pm at Westview Cemetery, 2264 US 421N, Lillington, NC.
