Tim Stephens

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Mark Stephens, 77, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021. A native of Lillington, he was son of the late John and Mattie Blanchard Stephens. Tim was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linda Hawley Stephens. Tim graduated from Lillington High School in 1963 and attended Campbell College. Tim retired from Harnett Co. Schools after 29 years as a vocational teacher. He was a member of Lillington Baptist Church, Lillington Masonic Lodge #302, and Harnett County Shrine Club. Tim’s most recent contribution to the Town of Lillington was serving as a Town Commissioner.

Tim is survived by his son, David Stephens and wife Dana of Angier, son, Mark Stephens and wife Karen of Angier; 4 grandchildren, Layne, Maddie, Katelyn and Matthew; brothers, John Lee Stephens, Bob Stephens, Henry Stephens, Rodney Stephens and sister, Linda Gray Stephens; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 16, 2021 at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Selman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Friends are invited to visit O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home on Thursday, April 15, 2021, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to pay their respects to Mr. Stephens. The family will not be present during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harnett County Shrine Club.
