Tammy Buchanan Wilson

Tammy Buchanan Wilson, 58, of Bunnlevel, passed away, Sunday, December 11, 2022 at her home.

Tammy was born August 15, 1964 in Lee County, NC.  She was a graduate of Campbell University with a master’s degree in administrative education.  Tammy was a teacher, assistant principal, and literacy coach in Harnett County Public Schools, retiring with over 32 years of service.  She was a Christian woman and radiated the love of Christ to all she came in contact.  Tammy served her church as praise and worship leader, children’s church teacher, nursery worker, and ladies fellowship director, until her sickness prevented her from serving.  She was a loving wife, mother, and MiMi, who dedicated her life to family and God.    

She was preceded in death by her father, Waldo Buchanan; sister-in-law, Jill Lee.  

Tammy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jed Wilson; son, Trey Buchanan Wilson; daughter, Chastity Loren Wilson; granddaughter, Ambria Faith Wilson; mother, Lida Brown Buchanan; sister, Melissa Godfrey and husband, Glen; brother, Tim Buchanan and wife, Kim; nephew, Asa Godfrey and wife, Caroline; niece, Brooke Phillips and husband, Matthew; father-in-law, Bobby Wilson; mother-in-law, Brenda Wilson; brother-in-law, Randy Lee; niece, Amber Farr and husband, Hunter; great nephews, Brysen Roberts and Lochlan Farr; niece, Brittney Kenney and husband, Shaun.     

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Pentecost Worship Center, 2744 Ross Road, Lillington, NC 27546.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 10am – 11am at the church prior to the service.
