Mrs. Tammy Hockaday Benson, 55, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at her home. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late James Edgar Hockaday and Elizabeth Herring Hockaday. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Wayne Paradise; sisters, Rebecca Ann Mauney and Phyllis Diane Hockaday; brother, Steve Edward Hockaday. Tammy was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Sean Benson of the home; daughter, Crystal Paulino of Bunnlevel; grandchildren, Skylar, Madison, Logan, and Jacob; brother, Harry James Hockaday (Shirley) of Garner, sister, Betty Dawson of Raleigh, brother, Tony Glenn Hockaday (Joy) of Spring Lake; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel.
