Stephen Worth Stone

Stephen Stone, 68, of Lillington, died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at his home in Lillington, NC. 

Stephen was born August 19, 1954 in Harnett County to the late Elzie and Flora Rambeaut Stone.  He was employed with Southbend Middleby Company in Fuquay-Varina retiring with over 27 years of service.  Stephen loved his family, bluegrass and southern gospel music.    

He was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Hayes.  

Stephen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane Stone; daughter, Christy Pemberton and husband, Keith; sons, Joel Stone and wife, Kindal, and Robert Stone and wife, Marie Atkins; sisters, Kitty Stevens and husband, Gene, and Nellie Smith; and grandchildren, Alexis Stone, Preston Stone, Sadie Stone, Peighton Stone, and William Atkins.    

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his home.  

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
