Snowdrop Walls Crowder

Snowdrop “Snow” Walls Crowder, 87, of Angier, died Sunday, January 08, 2023 at Parkview Retirement Village in Sanford, NC. 

Snowdrop was born December 27, 1935 in Harnett County, NC to the late Frank Sherwood Walls and Esther Irene Cooke Walls.  She worked at Hudson Belk in Raleigh for over ten years and later as a Quality Control Specialist for Edwards Printing Company, retiring with over ten years of service.  Snowdrop was a lifetime member of Kennebec Baptist Church in Angier, where she served in various roles including Adult Choir, Sunday School Teacher, and Women’s Missions.

Snowdrop was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dale Crowder; daughter, Brenda Wimberley; son, Randy Wimberley; sisters, Katie Head, Nancy Burns, Betty Jane Whitman, and Dixie Barbour; brothers, Frank Walls, Jack Walls, Dwight Walls, Gene Walls, and Henry Walls Pendergraft.   

She is survived by her son, Larry Wimberley (Rose Marie); daughter, Connie Sheorn (Steve); step-son, Clarence Dale Crowder, Jr.; brother, Billy Walls (Carol), grandchildren, Jennifer Duran (Robert), Jessica Lane (Michael), Savanah Wimberley, Beau Wimberley, Zachary Sheorn (Anna), Joshua Wimberley, Faith Wimberley, Landon Wimberley, Stephen Sheorn (Jill), Angie Gardner (Gregg); great grandchildren, Sawyer Duran, Brooklyn Wimberley, Arianna Lane, Charlotte Lane, Benaiah Lane, Sarah Sheorn, Ella Sheorn, Laiken Tidwell, and Kaylee Tidwell.  

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Thursday, January 12, 2023 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with her son, Larry Wimberley officiating.  The family will receive friends 11am-12pm prior to the service.
