Mrs. Shirley Fritch, 83, of Cameron, went home to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Annie Luzina and Thomas Roosevelt Ashley; her brother, Bruce Hubbard; sisters Annie Ruth Ashley, Collie Ashley Clark and Virginia Ashley Shaw; brother Harley Lee Ashley; stepmother, Elizabeth M. Ashley, and spouse, Emerson Eugene Fritch.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Johnson (Julie); daughter, Jennifer Johnson; grandchildren; Trevor Johnson (Amanda), Kendra Kenney (Kris), Kaitlyn Farmer (Will); great-granddaughter, Emmalynn Kenney; sisters, Emily Benson, Jettie Dudak, Judy Webster, Nancy Stanley, Pat Koerner, Linda Pleasant, and Bonnie Neighbors; many nieces and nephews; step-children, Meloney Fritch; step-grandchildren, Ricky Fritch, Samuel Beason, Katelyn Beason; step-great-grandchildren, Fawkes Beason and Camden Cole.
Shirley loved serving her Lord, helping to start Tabernacle Baptist Theological Seminary in Bangalore, India with husband, Emerson. She made the most of her life enjoying travel, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs. Shirley worked many years for Dr. John Briggs at Lillington Family Medical and Dr. Catherine Evans’ dental office.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Yates-Thagard Baptist Church in Carthage from 1:00-2:45pm. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Westview Memorial Gardens, 2264 US 421 in Lillington.
