Sheila Diane (McLean) Stone

Sheila “Diane” Stone, 66, of Lillington, passed away, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at her home in Lillington.  

Diane was born June 15, 1957 in Lee County to the late Robert Fulton McLean, Jr. and Sarah Ellen Ivey McLean.  She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, the beach, lighthouses, Jesus, and her grandchildren.  Family was the most important thing in her life.  

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Stephen Stone.  

Diane is survived by her daughter, Christy Pemberton and husband, Keith; sons, Joel Stone and wife, Kindal, and Robert Stone; and grandchildren, Alexis Stone, Preston Stone, Sadie Stone, and Peighton Stone.    

A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546.   The family will receive friends 6pm – 8pm Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
