Sharon Edith (Blanchard) Ausley

Sharon Edith Blanchard Ausley, 80, of Fuquay-Varina, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Transitions Lifecare Hospice in Raleigh, NC. 

Sharon was born December 26, 1942 in Harnett County to the late William Blanchard and Doris Myrick Blanchard.  She worked as a hairstylist for many years in the Christian Light community of Fuquay-Varina.  Sharon was a dedicated member of True Light Holiness Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC.  She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers.  Sharon was a loving wife to Joe Ausley for over 60 years, a mother, mother-in-law, “Nanny”, sister, and aunt.  Sharon was a friend to many and a faithful servant to her Lord who she loved. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Muriel Blanchard Laymon.   

Sharon is survived by her husband, Joe Ausley; son, Jeffrey Ausley and wife, Nancy Dodson Ausley; granddaughter, Anna Ausley; brother, Jimmy Blanchard and wife, Ellen; sisters, Jeanette Raybon and husband, Shane, and Margaret Jamison and husband, Steve; brother-in-law, Wayne Ausley and wife, Darlene; loving aunt to Lisa Peterson, Renae Mandris, Bo Jamison, Sharon Jamison, Cindy Brewbaker, Mark Clark, Jason Laymon, and Ricky Wade; and many friends she loved dearly. 

From Matthew 25:21, the Master was full of praise, “Well done thou good and faithful servant”.

A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, June 29, 2023 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC 27526.  Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery in Lillington, NC.  The family will receive friends 10am – 11am prior to the service at the funeral home.
