Sarah Catherine Usry Irvine, 66, passed away, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC.  

Sarah was born August 5, 1957 in Lee County, NC.   She was a graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a degree in nursing.  Sarah worked as a nurse for over 40 years.   

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Robert Usry; and brother, Rodney Thomas Usry.  

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Taylor Rizer; son, Thomas Benton Rizer (Sarah); mother, Mildred Sue McDonald; sister, Lori Usry Johnson (Scott);;grandchildren, Allison Marie Rizer, and Lillian Grace Rizer; and nieces, Danielle Stackhouse, and Jazzie Dark.   .   

The family will receive friends 2pm – 4pm Saturday, November 4, 2023 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546.
