Rose Purdie White

Rose Purdie White, 66, of Lillington, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home in Lillington, NC. 

Rose was born July 23, 1957 in Harnett County to the late David Robinson Purdie and Mary Frances Wicker Purdie.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruth Turlington; and step-brother, Ricky Turlington. 

Rose was a graduate of Lillington High School and attended the Wake Technical Community College and the University of South Carolina.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  Rose enjoyed working with plants and flowers in her yard.  

Rose is survived by her daughter, Molly Rose White (Daquan Elliott); granddaughters, Everleigh Rose Elliott, and Isabella Elliott; sisters, Robin Purdie Keairnes, and Rita Flowers; step-sister, Barbara McKay; step-brothers, Palmer and Rodney Turlington; nieces, Hillary Keairnes, and Erica Putnam; nephews, David Dowdy, Jeremy Purdie, Bobby Keairnes; many step-nieces and step-nephews. 

A graveside service will be held 3pm Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington, NC.   The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
