Ronald L. Freeborn

Ronald L. Freeborn, 82, of Lillington, formerly of California, passed away, Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his home in Lillington, NC. 

Ronald was born March 2, 1942 in Centerville, Iowa to the late Lawrence and Jean Wolfe Freeborn. Ron graduated from Pattonville High School in St. Louis, Missouri and went on to get his Bachelor's degree from Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho and his Masters in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. He served as a Professor at the Colorado Springs Bible College. He was ordained as a minister in the Church of the Nazarene in 1985. During his time of ministry he served as a Senior Pastor and also an Associate Pastor of music, youth and education.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlene Freeborn; daughters, Lori Freeborn, and Erica Chin (Stan); son, Ronald Adam Freeborn (Anna); four grandsons, Parker Adams, Jordan Adams, Ryder Freeborn, and Myles Freeborn.   

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in San Diego, CA on November 2nd and 3rd, 2024. More details to follow.
