Robertajo Ann "BJ" Kramer Obituary

Robertajo Ann Kramer, 83, lovingly known as "BJ," passed away peacefully at her home in Lillington, NC, on June 17, 2026.


Born on November 13, 1942, in Columbia, Pennsylvania, BJ lived a life defined by service, dedication, and quiet strength. She proudly served in the United States Army for more than 20 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Throughout her distinguished military career, she completed five overseas tours: three in Vietnam, one in Korea, and one in Europe; demonstrating unwavering commitment to her country, her mission, and the soldiers she led.


BJ was a simple person who never sought recognition, yet she took great pride in the work she accomplished and the responsibilities she carried. Her dedication to duty, leadership, and service left a lasting impression on those who served alongside her. She approached life with humility, integrity, and a steadfast sense of purpose.


Beyond her military accomplishments, BJ will be remembered for her strength of character, loyalty, and devotion to those she cared about. Her life stands as a testament to the values of service, perseverance, and honor.


She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Robert Kramer and Mary Elizabeth Shank; sister, Marybeth Nolf, and beloved niece, Kelianne Baranowski.


She is survived by her sister: Frances "Fran" Brauchle (Paul Brauchle) of Macungie, PA; brother: Joseph Robert Kramer of Bethlehem, PA, and many cousins, colleagues, and friends. 


She leaves behind family, friends, fellow veterans, and all whose lives were touched by her strength and example. Her legacy of service and dedication will be remembered for generations to come.


A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 10:00 at Harnett Memorial Park located at 50 E Cornelius Harnett Blvd. Lillington, NC 27546.


A life well lived, a duty faithfully fulfilled, and a legacy proudly carried forward.
