Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bob” Benjamin Clarke, Jr., of Palm Harbor Florida, passed away at Transitions Lifecare in Raleigh, NC on July 28, 2022.
Bob was born in Pawtucket, RI to the late Robert B. Clarke, Sr. and Doris Velletri on February 3, 1939.
Mr. Clarke was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Clarke; sisters, Judy and Beverly; mother, Doris Velletri and father, Robert B. Clarke, Sr.
Mr. Clarke was truly a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and mentor. While he lost his life to dementia, his family will cherish and pass down the stories of his incredible life for generations to come. Bob devoted his life to his family and military career. He retired at the age of 50 and gave back to his community as a hospice volunteer for over ten years which he was proud and honored to do. Bob and Patricia had a true love that was evident the moment you were with them and are now together again. Bob gave his time generously to many people and organizations throughout his life and was that one-of-a-kind spirit always helping others, his true passion in life.
Bob is survived by his six children, Robert Clarke, III of Florida, Scott Clarke of Washington, Kelley Turner (Chip) of North Carolina, Troy Clarke (Debbie) of Virginia, Bruce Clarke (Leslie) of North Carolina, Chad Clarke of North Carolina; loving grandchildren, Nathan Clarke, Yana Clarke, Bryce Clarke, Peyton Clarke, Cole Turner, Jake Turner, Tyler Clarke, Valerie Nunn, Jackson Clarke, Lauren Clarke, Jordan Clarke and Sara Clarke, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 2 PM.
May he rest in peace with his loving wife in heaven.
