Robert Urban Bolcar, 89, of Fuquay-Varina, formerly of Boonton, NJ, passed away, Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his home in Fuquay-Varina, NC. 

Robert was born June 25, 1934 in Boonton, NJ to the late Julia J. Granda and Frank E. Bolcar.  He was a graduate of Boonton High School and was veteran of the US Army.  Robert was employed with Lee Company of Denville, NJ, retiring with over 39 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Bolcar, Jimmy Bolcar, and John Bolcar; and sisters, Julia McDunner, and Mary Frank. 

Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Emily Steinmetz Bolcar; son, Mark Robert Bolcar (Laura); step-sons, George Psaltis (Karen), Chris Psaltis (Carmen); step-daughter, Dawn DaMatto; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.   

A memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Crossroads Church, 1301 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.        

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society; or a charity of choice.
