Phyllis J McCoy

Mrs. Phyllis J McCoy, 88, of Bunnlevel passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at Emerald Health and Rehab. Phyllis was born in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late Charles Lashmit and Percy In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Phyllis was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Rawls Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the church family. She loved traveling with her husband and visiting family. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and was especially known for her apple pies.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 63 years, Delbert McCoy, son Mike McCoy and Wife Donna, daughter Anita Pace and Husband Ken, daughter Lisa Martin Husband Carl, brother James Lashmit, sister Carol Dean Weatherman, 9 grandchildren; Erin Blaesing, Jason McCoy, Daniel Pace, Seth Pace, Nathan Pace, Wesley Wilson, Kara Gautier, C.J. Martin, and Tammy Martin; 8 great-grandchildren; Noah Blaesing, Madison Blaesing, Ava Blaesing, Riley Pace, Griffin Pace, Brantley Wilson, Carson Gautier, and Keira Gautier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45AM Friday, March 15, 2024, at Rawls Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina. A funeral service will follow in the sanctuary at 12:00 PM with Rev. Paul Jones officiating. A private family burial will follow in the church cemetery.
