Patricia O'Quinn Tomasino Obituary

Patricia Davis O’Quinn Tomasino, 93, graduated from her life on earth to joyfully begin her life in heaven on April 17, 2026. Pat was born July 1, 1932, to Flora Frye O’Quinn and Thornal Durant (T.D.) O’Quinn and grew up in Lillington, NC. She graduated from Meredith College in 1954 with a degree in Home Economics.

During a trip to Carolina Beach with a friend, Pat met the man who would become the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” Tomasino. They married on July 3, 1954, and shared 64 years of a deep abiding love and devotion as they raised their three children.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; her brother, T.D. O’Quinn Jr.; and her sister, Anne O’Quinn Crockett. She is survived by her children Tony Tomasino, Michael (Melody) Tomasino, and Carol (Wallace) Revels; seven grandchildren—Troy Tomasino, Tyler Tomasino, Patrick Tomasino, Magen Tomasino Sanders, Grace Tomasino, Maria Revels Rathke, and Savannah Revels; and two great‑grandchildren, Carlo Quinn Tomasino and John Morgan Rathke.

For nearly 50 years, Pat was a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School class and, in later years, faithfully watched the televised service each week from home.

Pat delighted in accompanying Charlie to business conferences, where she enjoyed shopping trips and sightseeing with the other wives. She became known for winning door prizes, her most memorable being two plane tickets to anywhere in the continental United States. She chose Seattle because it was the farthest destination she and Charlie wanted to explore together.

A generous and thoughtful gift‑giver, Pat put great care into choosing presents for her family and friends. It brought her joy to watch someone’s face light up as they opened what she had picked just for them. Pat supported numerous charities over the years, and while many of them focused on health research, the charities that focused on serving the people of North Carolina held a special place in her heart.

Pat was happiest outdoors in her yard, tending the many trees, shrubs, and flowers she lovingly planted. She decorated her garden with colorful whirligigs, windsocks, and shiny ornaments—ostensibly to keep the deer away, though everyone knew she chose them because they made her smile.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, April 24, 2026 at Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary. A graveside service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington. Hayes Barton Baptist Church will be live streaming the services: https://hbbc.org/memorialservices/

Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the American Lung Association.
