Ora McNeill

Mrs. Ora Mae Deal McNeill, 94, of Lillington passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Irvin and Eunice Jones Deal. Ora was also preceded in death by her husband, Alston McNeill; sister, Pauline Spivey; brother, Jimmy Deal and sister, Sue Nell Deal. She was loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was devoted to her family. Ora was life long member of Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers where she taught Sunday school for 28 years.

Ora is survived by 3 daughters, Lespie O’Quinn and husband Halford of Bogart, GA, Peggy West and husband Robert of Lillington, Donna Cummings and husband Johnny of Lillington; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Elkins and husband Doug and Chris O’Quinn and wife Carolyn; 5 great-grandsons; 2 great-great granddaughters; 3 sisters, Lib O’Kelley, Faye Denkins and Dorothy Patterson all of Lillington; nieces and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday March 19, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Mamers with Rev. Rick Beacham officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

The McNeill family would like to thank Liberty Hospice of Dunn and especially her devoted caregiver Cynthia Taylor for all their love and care.
