Novie Pollard Milton

Mrs. Novie Pollard Milton, 93, of Lillington passed away Friday August 9, 2019 at Oak Hill Living Center in Angier. She was born in Johnston County, the daughter of the late Lonnie Green Pollard and Lucy Frances West Pollard. Novie was a life long dedicated member of Lillington Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed baking cakes for members of the church and community. Novie also volunteered in numerous community activities throughout her life. She enjoyed hosting friends and family for Sunday dinner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Lee Milton; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Milton; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Novie is survived by 2 sons, Van Milton and wife Kathryn of Fuquay-Varina and Ollie Milton of Lillington; 4 grandchildren, Darrell Milton and wife Adrian, Dana Roberts and husband Paul, Amy Tobler and husband Eddie, Anna Jackson; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Barbour of McGee Crossroads; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday August 13, 2019 at Lillington Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Selman, Rev. Jeff Roberts and Rev. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington.
