Norman L. Wallace, Sr.

Mr. Norman L. Wallace, Sr., 88, of Lillington passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at First Health Reid Heart Center in Pinehurst. Norman was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Manley and Lillie Mae Bowden Wallace. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Pasty Matthews Wallace; daughter, Norma Ann Riewesthal; son-in-law, Kent Johnson; sister, Blanchie Raynor brothers, Charlie, Richard, Weldon, and Nelson Wallace.

Norman was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of Lillington Masonic Lodge #302. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Norman worked as a heavy equipment operator and foreman for many years. He loved rabbit hunting, bird hunting and letting his dogs run. Norman was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Norman is survived by his wife, Earnestine Johnson Wallace of the home; daughter, Brenda Wallace Johnson of Lillington; son, N. Lee Wallace, Jr. of Willow Spring; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church in Lillington from 1:00-1:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robbie O’Quinn and Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
