Nicholas S. Tasios

Nicholas S. Tasios, 33 of Cary, formerly of Lillington, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 at his home.  A native of Harnett County, he was the son of Rebecca West and Matt West.  He graduated from Harnett Central High School in 2009 and WyoTech Mechanical School in Laramie, Pennsylvania. 

Nick was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone that knew him.  He had a huge heart and a contagious smile. Nick was a great listener with a goofy spirit that would make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Holloway West of Clayton and his father, Matt West and wife Mary of Dunn.  Sisters, Rachel Adams and husband Zack of Erwin; Kasey Jenda and husband Kyle of South Carolina. Brothers, Bobby Tasios, Jr. and George Tasios, both of St. Louis, Missouri. 

Also survived by the love of his life, Kalan Wyatt of the home and his beloved black lab, Captain. 

Maternal grandmother, Beth H. Flanagan and husband Jim of Cary. Maternal grandfather Fred Holloway and wife Gail of Wilmington. Paternal grandmother, Evelyn West of Dunn. 

His aunt and “other mother” Angela Holbrook of Lillington; aunt Ramona Tasios of Tennessee.  Nick was loved by his cousins Amy and Zoe, his niece Elena and nephews Rhett and Elijah as well as many other extended family and friends, too numerous to name.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington, NC.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
