Neil Eldridge Brown

Neil Eldridge Brown, 88, of Bunnlevel, NC, passed away, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice in Pittsboro, NC. 

Neil was born May 8, 1936 in Cumberland County to the late Neil and Ellen Rae Morrison Brown.  He was a retired veteran of the US Air Force and lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW.  Neil was a member and elder at Flat Branch Covenant Presbyterian Church in Bunnlevel.     

He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Stone Brown; sons, Kenneth Darrell Stone, and David Wayne Stone; sister, Gladys Jean Brown; brother, Thomas Norris Brown; and grandson, John Christopher Stone.   

Neil is survived by his son, Daniel W. Brown and his wife Kathy; daughter, Mary Ellen Brown; sister, Linda Rae Desrosiers; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Flat Branch Covenant Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 130 Darroch Rd., Bunnlevel, NC 28323.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
