With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Misty Waddell Carroll, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2026, at the age of 48.
Born on June 18, 1978, Misty was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Grammy, cherished daughter, sister, and dear friend to so many. She lived in Lillington and spent her life pouring love into the people around her. Her family was the center of her world, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved.
Misty was one of the most selfless women you could ever meet. She had a heart for serving others and a gift for making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A faithful believer in Jesus Christ, Misty’s faith carried her through life’s greatest joys and hardest challenges.
Throughout her battle with cancer, she faced each day with incredible courage, determination, and grace. She remained a fighter until the very end, never allowing her illness to define her and continuing to put her family and loved ones first.
Misty found great joy in spending time with her family, especially making memories together on beach vacations. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating milestones, or enjoying time by the beach or mountains, she treasured every moment spent with the people she loved most. She was preceded in death by her precious granddaughter, born sleeping in October 2024.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lee Carroll; her children, Alexis Carroll Jones (Jackson), Ryder Lee Carroll (Kaylee), Robert Lane Carroll, and her beloved grandson, Jace Madison Jones, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her parents, Gail and David Waddell; her brothers, Jerry Todd Waddell (Melanie) and Marty Lee Waddell (Sherry); along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 PM Friday, June 26, 2026, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Duncan. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Terry Beatty and Rev. Jimmy Lunsford officiating.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now healed, at peace, and reunited with her Savior. Her legacy of faith, strength, selflessness, and unconditional love will live on in the countless lives she touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
Misty will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
