Michael "Mike" Wayne Gale

Mr. Michael “Mike” Wayne Gale, 67, of Lillington passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Joseph Gale and Sarah Matthews Gale.

Mike owned and operated Mike Gale Plumbing for many years. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his granddaughter, Emma. Mike enjoyed spending time on his hunting land, preparing for each season.

In addition to his mother, Sarah, Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, April Thatcher Gale of the home; daughter, Kim Avery of Lillington; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Emma Avery both of Lillington; 2 brothers, Dalton Gale and D.J. Gale both of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday July 30, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marty Smith officiating.
