Mary "Robin" Purdie Keairnes

Mary “Robin” Purdie Keairnes, 69, passed away January 24, 2026.  She was born April 27, 1956, to the late David and Mary Frances Purdie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents Bob and Mamie Wicker, David and Elizabeth Purdie; sister Rose White; stepmother Ruth Turlington; stepbrothers Palmer and Ricky Turlington; uncle Bobby Wicker; aunts Jean Ashby, Peggy Ray, and Virginia Parker.

Robin enjoyed the time with Michael watching, feeding, and photographing the birds, deer, and other animals that would visit their yard. She enjoyed watching their plants and vegetables grow. She loved time spent with her sisters Rose and Rita laughing and being silly. Most of all she loved any time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Robin is survived by sons Jeremy Purdie (wife, Angie and children Luke, Sophia, Dean) and Bobby Keairnes; daughter Hillery Keairnes (fiancé, Marshall); sister Rita Flowers; stepsister Barbara McKay and family; stepbrother Rodney Turlington and family; sisters-in-law Nancy Turlington and family, and Cheri Turlington and family; nephew David Dowdy (wife Tracy and children Landon and Rowan); nieces Molly White (Daquan and children Everleigh Rose and Isabella) and Erica Putnam (husband Jonathon and child Anslee); aunt Shirley Wicker; and special friend Michael Robertson.

The family request you honor Robin’s memory by feeding the birds especially in the winter months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

A graveside service to celebrate and honor Robin’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday January 29, 2026, at Harnett Memorial Park, 50 East Cornelius-Harnett Blvd., Lillington NC.
