Mary "Wanda" (Blanchard) La Marsh

Mary “Wanda” La Marsh, 62, of Lillington passed away May 5, 2025.  She was born in Harnett County on October 26, 1962 to the late Rexford Lee Blanchard and Duby Ray Avent Blanchard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Ray Avent and niece, Cindy Avent Adcock.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Joe La Marsh; brothers, Larry Lee Blanchard and Lenn Watson Blanchard (wife, Kimberly); sisters-in-law, Shirley Reardon Avent and Denise Blanchard; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Tycie, Bridgette, and Tyler Blanchard, Stephen (wife, Lori) and Stephanie Avent, Crystal Avent Patterson, Brittany Adcock Davenport, Danielle Adcock; as well as several great nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her dear friends, Stanley Wood, Linda Ammons, and Connie Davis.

Wanda was an avid music buff.  She loved working in her flower garden and enjoyed spending time sitting out on the deck watching the birds and squirrels.  She loved nature and especially the beach.  She could make friends with anyone she met.  Wanda will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
