Mary Lou (Harrington) Ellen

Mary Lou Harrington Ellen, 86, of Buies Creek, NC, passed away, Monday, July 03, 2023 at Universal Healthcare in Lillington, NC. 

Mary Lou was born September 22, 1936 in Wake County, NC to the late Milton S. Harrington and Fannie Johnson Harrington.  She was a graduate of Campbell University and Meredith College and was a respected biology teacher at Harnett Central High School retiring with over 34 years of service.  Mary Lou was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek, NC. 

She is survived by her daughter Sonya Bain and husband, Mike Bain. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Memorial Baptist Church, 271 Leslie Campbell Avenue, Buies Creek, NC 27506, with pastor Ed Beddingfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington, NC.  The family will receive friends 10:00 am – 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
