Marjorie Dickens Thomas

Marjorie Dickens Thomas, 73, of Lillington, NC, went to be with the LORD November 15th, 2024, after a short illness.

She was born on December 19th, 1950 to the late Mack Dickens and Stella Watkins Dickens, both of Lillington.

She grew up with her two older brothers, Mack Dickens and the late Roy Lee Dickens.

Marjorie was filled with generosity and warmth readily available. She shared love and joy to all who knew her. She will lovingly be remembered by her two children Malinda Holder (Husband Eddie) and Lisa FitzGibbon (Husband Terrence) and grandchildren Tye FitzGibbon, Taylor Duggan (Husband Joseph), Megan Holder, Stephanie FitzGibbon, Victoria FitzGibbon, John Thomas and great grandchild Jett Duggan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years John “Buddy” Thomas. Together they enjoyed raising cattle on their small farm. Marjorie had a passion to be outdoors and a deep love for flowers.

Marjorie has left behind the legacy of a beautiful life lived in the service of others and in the LORD.

The family will receive friends on November 18th, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 6670 Old US 421 Lillington, NC 27546. A funeral service will be held on November 19th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Beacham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The loss of Marjorie will be deeply felt by her family and friends. Her love will continue to be embraced by those who knew and loved her.
