Magdalene Herta Monsees Warrings, 80, of Carthage, died Sunday, January 1, 2023, at First Health Hospice, West End, NC.

Magdalene was born on July 8, 1942, in Germany to the late Hermann Monsees and Margaret Riggers Monsees. She emigrated to the USA at age sixteen and lived in Brooklyn, New York, and then in Cairo, New York, until retiring in North Carolina where she enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Magdalene was devoted to her family and was loved in return by everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Marr, and by her husband, Siebern Warrings.

Magdalene is survived by her four children and their spouses: Virginia Todaro & Victor Lennon, Norah & Michael Todaro, Judy Todaro & Danny Snyder, and Teresa & Carl Warrings; her eleven grandchildren: Axton Lennon, Vanessa Lennon McElvaney, Alex Lennon, Andrew Lennon, Sarah Todaro, Alexis Marr, Magdalene Fernandez, Micah Fernandez, Jason Jolly, Cody Warrings, and Samantha Buehler; her seven greatgrandchildren: Annah, Jackson, Dylan, Tylor, Lucki, Lalia, and Wesley; her sister Erika Brooks; Grace & John Competiello; and other family members in Germany.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to First Health Hospice in West End, NC, in gratitude for their loving care.
