Lorraine B. McGuire

Lorraine B. McGuire, 78, of Bunnlevel, passed away after a long battle with cancer, Friday, April 25, 2025 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. 

Her walking by faith is now resting in sight in the presence of Jesus Christ, her Savior, in Whom she trusted many years ago. She would desire others to know their position in Christ as being merely religious, or born again to new and everlasting life in Christ, with the eternal consequences to each. 

Lorraine was born February 6, 1947 near Trenton, NJ to the late Henry and Virgina Cox.  She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Rick McGuire; daughter, Denise Landon; three sons, George Thorn and wife, Danielle, Kyle Thorn, and Anthony Cornette-McGuire; and brother, Dennis Cox and wife, Kathy, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Covenant Reformed Baptist Church, 29 E. Wray St., Angier NC 27501. Burial will follow the service at Bunnlevel Cemetery, intersection of McNeill-Hobbs Rd and Wire Rd, Bunnlevel NC 28323.  The family will receive friends 10am – 11am prior to the service at the church.
