Loriann Lyn Sanders

Loriann Lyn Sanders, 53, of Lillington, formerly of Carthage, NY, passed away, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington.   

Loriann was born September 22, 1969 in Watertown, NY.  She was a graduate of Carthage High School and Boces School of Cosmetology in Watertown, NY.   

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Shawn Sanders; daughter, Samantha  Yoder (and Chris Ewing); grandchildren, Austin and Jackson; parents, Wayne and Carol Plummer; and brother, Wayne Plummer, Jr., sister-in-law Elizabeth Plummer and niece Ashley Plummer.    

Loriann and Shawn meet in Boces and later married in the town of Theresa in 1990.  They moved to North Carolina in 1997 on Loriann's birthday and she started working for MWR on Fort Bragg the following year.  Her career started at the Fort Bragg riding stables, then moved to Smith Lake, and later went to the Fort Bragg Clay Target Center, where she early retired to be a built in baby sitter for her grandsons.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Monday, December 19, 2022 at O'Quinn-Peebles Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
