Lloyd Johann George, Jr., 67, of Lillington, NC, passed away, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was known as Uncle Lulu by his nieces and nephews and “Double L” by all his close friends.
Lloyd was born February 10, 1958 in Munich, Germany to the late Lloyd Edward and Maria Bayerstorfer George. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey L. George.
Lloyd graduated in 1976 from Lillington High School and in 1992 from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in Laser Technology. He retired from Arven Services LLC at Fort Bragg, NC, where he proudly served our soldiers.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Cindy Ann George; daughters, Cristina Kennedy, Samantha George-Nichols and her husband, Tyler; three grandchildren, Ailey, Lily Rose and Emmie; step-son, Nick Wilson; step-daughter, Jessica Little; step-granddaughter, Makenna Estep; sisters, Kathy Brown and husband, Danny (Ashley Johnson), Patricia Anderson and husband, James (Rebecca); and many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd retired after 47 years of hard work. After retirement he was fully able to enjoy his many passions including: fishing, gardening, bird watching with his wife and creating memories while vacationing at the beach. But most of all, he treasured spending time with his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at his home in Lillington, 1pm – 4pm Sunday, April 27, 2025. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
