Linda Joyce (Turner) Perkins

Linda Turner Perkins, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda found immense joy in the simple things in life. She loved traveling, bird watching from her window, and, most of all, spending time with her beloved family. Her warmth and gentle spirit will be deeply missed. 

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Alene Parker Turner and William Bryant Turner, and her first husband, Geta Wood. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Claude “Dick” Perkins. She is also survived by her siblings, William “Bill” Turner, Bernice Turner (Susan), and Anne Murray (Johnny); her children, Lynn Wood (Dianna), Sonja Wood, and Dale Wood (Angie); her grandchildren, Jessica Fleishman (Aaron), Jonathan Wood, Matthew Wood, Lake Wood, and Kade Wood; and her great-grandchildren, Addison Wood, Bryant Fleishman, and Brooklyn Fleishman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 beginning at 6:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. John Blackman and Rev. Brett Johnson officiating.
