Laurie Norris

Mrs. Laurie Joan Currin Norris, 68, of Lillington passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late Elijah Morris Currin and Virginia Griffin Currin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronald Morris Currin and a beloved sister, Gail Brown.

Laurie is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Randy Norris of the home; son, Carson Norris of Lillington; daughter, Shelley Andrews and husband Chase of Sanford; 3 grandchildren, Bentley Ray Norris, Elle Andrews and Connor Andrews; sister, Ginger Couch and husband Bobby of Hillsborough; brother, Douglas Currin and wife Connie of Spring Lake; brother-in-law, David Brown of Lillington; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Laurie loved the Lord and is now in heaven. She is healed and walking in the presence of the Lord. Her family is comforted knowing that she is now with her mother, father, her sweet sister and brother.

Laurie was a loving wife and mother who took wonderful care of her family. She was a beloved homemaker and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed reading and watching the hummingbirds at her feeders. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and reading new recipes. She also loved beautiful jewelry and to shop.  She loved her family fiercely and showed grace to others. She is so very loved by her family, and we are comforted knowing she is now home with the Lord. 

The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 1:00-1:45 PM at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ramon Atkins and Rev. Douglas Currin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
