Kathy Jane Thatcher

Miss Kathy Jane Thatcher, 54, of Lillington passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Watertown, NY, the daughter of the late Glenn Thatcher and Myrtle Davis Thatcher. In addition to her father, Kathy was preceded in death by sister, Susan Ann Ward, brothers, Patrick Thatcher and Randy Thatcher.

Kathy graduated from Harnett Central High School in 1988. She worked for Harnett Production Enterprise for over 18 years. Kathy volunteered for many years at Universal Healthcare in Lillington and after Covid, Walk by Faith adult daycare in Erwin. She loved attending and worshipping in her church, True Light Holiness Church in the Christian Light community.  Kathy never met a stranger and loved everyone.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Myrtle Davis Thatcher of the home; 2 sisters, April Lynn Gale and husband, Mike of Lillington and Torre Thatcher and husband, Mike of New York; 2 brothers, Tommy Thatcher of Minnesota and Joe Thatcher and wife, Rosa of Alabama; special sister, Becky Jo Knoll and husband, Jeremy of Falcon; special brother, Todd Divine of Lillington; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marty Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Lillington.
