Kameron Dale Herrington

Kameron Dale Herrington, 8, of Kittrell, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Duke University Medical Center, Durham. Kameron was born May 23, 2014 in Raleigh, NC.

If you ask the people who loved Kameron, how to describe her, they would say spunky, beautiful, and a true fighter. Tabetha, her devoted mama, described her as a high-on-life Disney Snow White Princess who can’t be described by one single word because she was “all the things” and more. She lived in a painting of her own creation that would be nearly impossible to describe. Kameron fought through many medical battles and took the world by storm after a heart transplant four years ago. She touched the lives of “her people” at the hospital as they watched her climb mountains in her journey as a heart warrior. Kameron inspired her friends, family, and fellow classmates as they watched miracles happen in her life. She truly lit up every room when she strolled into it with her sheer sassy attitude and gift for bringing joy. When she grew up, Kameron had dreams of becoming a scientist to invent magic. While her life was cut short, her legacy will live on. She was loved by all who knew her as she brought the sparkle and color into all the crazy. 

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dale Ammons, and her great grandmothers, Brenda Holder and Rose Holder. 

Kameron is survived by her parents, Matthew and Tabetha Pendergrass, and father, Stephen Herrington; four brothers, Kaiden Herrington, Tristan Pendergrass, Cody Pendergrass, and Carson Pendergrass; two sisters, Mason Johnson, and Madison Hudson; grandparents, Tracy and Kathy Hamilton, Cliff Herrington, and Jim and Beth Pendergrass. 

The family will receive friends and family 6pm-8pm Monday, November 21, 2022 at O’Quinn-Pebbles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main St., Lillington, NC 27546. A memorial service will be held 5pm Monday, November 28, 2022 at Christ Our Hope Church, 203 Capcom Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
