Joseph "Joey" Norris Brown

Joseph “Joey” Norris Brown, 74, of Mamers, died Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home in Mamers, NC.

Joey was born October 22, 1948 in Lee County to the late Lucille O’Quinn Brown and Davis Salmon Brown.  He worked as an auto mechanic for many years specializing in AC repair operating his business, Joey’s Auto Repair.  Joey enjoyed repairing computers, fishing, music, dancing and friends.          

Joey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vickie Smith Brown; son, Joseph “Jody” Keith Brown; daughter, Marilyn “Mari-Beth” Wynne and husband, Robb; brother, Ronnie Brown (Marie), Marie; sisters, Phillis Brown, and Debbie Clemmons (Don); grandchildren, Cylus Brown, Ronin Wynne, Tanith Wynne, Chris Brown (Ashley), Casey Lindmeier (Bill), Scott Birchenough (Amanda), and Jeff Birchenough (Victoria); great grandchildren, Kaiden and Annabella Birchenough, Peyton and Riley Brown, William, Brooke, and Ben Lindmeier; sister-in-law, Robbie Hubbard (John); brothers-in-law, Tim Smith, and Kenneth Smith (Vicky); and many special nieces and nephews.     

The family will receive friends 6pm – 8pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC 27546, and other times at the family home.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
