Mr. John J. Kirchmier, Jr., 86, of Portsmouth, VA, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020.

John was born and raised in Portsmouth to the late John and Alice Kirchmier. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute and served in the US Army.

John was an avid sportsman.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by three children, John III., Charles, and Anne.
