John Paul Carr

John P. Carr Sr., 91, of Lillington, NC passed away July 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born January 26, 1934, in Allegheny County, PA to the late Leonard and Alberta Carr.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Patricia J. Carr and Margaret Shepard.

He is survived by his three sons, John P. Carr Jr., Richard A. Carr Sr., and Leonard J. Carr; four daughters, Patricia Mason, Jill Yocum, Jan Saylor and Grace Medley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 1 from 6pm - 8pm at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC.  The funeral will be held Saturday, August 2 beginning at noon at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Sanford, NC with burial to follow at Westview Cemetery in Lillington, NC.
