JoAnn Elizabeth Lenhart born on May 5th 1959 passed away on March 8th 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville surrounded by family and friends.
JoAnn who lived to be 66 years old was born and raised in Flint Michigan graduating from Flint Northern, then attending the University of North Dakota before later becoming a DBA for Edward C Levy where she spent over 30 years before retiring and moving to North Carolina, where she spent her last 7 years.

JoAnn passed away from pulmonary disease and pneumonia, long term effects from a long and hard battle of stage 4 esophageal cancer that she battled from 2012-2016.
JoAnn is survived by her siblings, the eldest, Lorraine Woods and her children, Brandon Woods, Nicole Burns & husband Arsenio. And two younger brothers John Lenhart, wife Cheryl & family, Paul Lenhart, wife Karen & family.

JoAnn is remembered for being a loving sister, a second mother to her nieces and nephews, a proud Great Aunt, a beloved best friend, a reliable colleague, a trusting neighbor, a active member with her church; Grace Community Church and the greatest lover of animals as well as her volunteer work with The Friends of the Dearborn Animal Shelter; the many animal lives that she nurtured and saved.

JoAnn has been cremated with the assistance of O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips funeral home and will placed to rest with her mother at Flint Memorial Park after a memorial service of life to be held at Downriver Christian Community Church.

JoAnn is forever loved, forever remembered and will be forever missed.
