Jesse "Frankie" Arnold, Jr.

Mr. Jesse “Frankie” Arnold, Jr., age 71, of Lillington passed away February 5, 2021 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Jesse Frank Arnold, Sr. and Vera Colville Arnold. In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bert Dew. Frankie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He owned and operated Arnold’s Body Shop in Lillington for many years. He loved spending time on the farm with his horses, cows and loving dogs, Pete and Shark.

Frankie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon Campbell Arnold of the home; 2 sons, Stephen Arnold of Lillington and Jessie Bradley Arnold and wife Courtney of Lillington; 2 grandchildren, Madyson Arnold, and Jessie Lane Arnold; brother, Harold Arnold and wife Bonnie of Lillington and sister, Jenny Arnold-Dew of Lillington; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bradley and Courtney Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dunn Animal Hospital for Dunn Animal Control, 625 Powell Ave., Dunn, NC 28334.

In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
