Jean Wills, 66, of Cameron, passed away on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children.
Jean was born on July 1st, 1955 in Farmington, Maine, to the late Richard "Duke" Dupont and Stella Brown Dupont. She was preceded in death by her brother David Dupont.
Jean grew up in Jay, Maine and graduated from Jay Highschool. While there, she participated in cheerleading and basketball. Jean worked at Pizza Hut in Lillington where she retired after 30 years of service. During this time, she earned an Associate and a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Duke University. Jean enjoyed her bible studies, working in her yard, spending time with her family and friends, and helping those in need. Jean was a member of Solid Rock Church in Cameron, N.C. She was active in bible studies and loved her church.
Jean decided not to have a funeral, instead to donate her body to Campbell University for Cancer Research. She knew that she had a rare form of cancer and wanted to help find a cure to prevent other families from having to experience what her family had to go through. Jean was always thinking of others.
Jean is survived by 3 children, daughter Katy Ann Boyd and sons Joseph Patrick Boyd and Thomas Doyle Wills Jr. and wife Anne Wills. Jean has 3 grandchildren, 2 grandsons Hunter & Braxton Boyd and one granddaughter Tina Wills. Jean is also survived by her sister Sandra and brother in-law, Michael Wells, brothers Richard Dupont and Gary Dupont and nieces Lisa Janke and Kristen Arbour.
Jean was a beloved member of her community and touched many people in her life. She will truly be missed by all. There will be a private memorial at a later date to honor Jean.
