Mr. James “Jim” R. Edge, 85, of Lillington passed away on June 11, 2021 peacefully at his home. James was a seventeen plus year army veteran who served both in Korea and Vietnam. James worked many jobs over the years but his proudest moment was finding jobs for fellow veterans in the state of Vermont, where he was awarded the national James Gates Distinguished Service award by the VFW. James is survived by his children, daughter Morag Keller and husband Matthew of Wyoming, William Edge of Lillington, and adopted daughter Whitney Niu and husband Leland of Cameron, and seven grandchildren.
James was an active member of Lillington United Methodist Church where he actively sang in the choir, he also enjoyed the game of golf and going to the movies. He will be forever missed and remembered by everyone who was blessed to be a part of his life.
James is preceded in death his parents, two brothers and five sisters, his first wife, Jane who passed away in 1986 and his second wife Karen who passed away in 2015.
