James Brian "Jim" Dahlke

James Brian “Jim” Dahlke, 66, passed away March 12, 2025.  He was born in Walworth County, WI to the late Armand “Spike” and Velda Dahlke on March 13, 1958.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” Dahlke and nephew, Steven Kreoffske.

He is survived by his wife, Jean King Dahlke; sons, Anthony Dahlke, Kenneth Byrd, Robert Byrd, and Brandin Stapleton; 13 grandchildren; his only elder sister, Peggy Lydic; and nephew, Jeff Stieg.

Jim was a metal fabricator and had recently obtained his license for hyperbaric welding.  Jim enjoyed a slow, relaxed pace of golfing (much to the dismay of the golfers behind him).  He attended Crossroads Church in Broadway, NC and was a supporter of the Southern Riders (Erwin, NC Chapter).  Jim enjoyed partying and having the kids around.  He was crazy in life (like a Peter Pan style).  He loved to ride his Harley and copping a breeze.

A service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC.  Following the service, the family invites you to come celebrate his life at 202 River Knoll Way, Lillington NC in the River Bluff Subdivision (BYOB-Nibblies supplied).
